Tucson

Tucson is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in North America, with roots dating back over 4,000 years. Surrounded by five mountain ranges, Tucson offers stunning desert landscapes and diverse ecosystems. One fun fact is that Tucson was named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, recognizing its unique culinary heritage influenced by Native American, Mexican, and Spanish traditions. The city is home to the University of Arizona, which contributes to its youthful energy and research innovation. Tucson is also known for its dark skies, making it one of the best places in the country for stargazing. Saguaro National Park, divided into two districts around the city, protects thousands of towering cacti. Tucson’s blend of ancient history, science, food, and outdoor adventure makes it truly distinctive.
