Albuquerque

Albuquerque is famous for its annual International Balloon Fiesta, the largest hot air balloon event in the world. Set along the Rio Grande, the city combines Southwestern culture with modern innovation. One fun fact is that Albuquerque’s Old Town dates back to 1706 and still features adobe architecture and historic plazas. The Sandia Mountains rise dramatically to the east, offering hiking, skiing, and a scenic tramway ride. Albuquerque has strong Native American and Hispanic influences, reflected in its art, cuisine, and festivals. The city also played a role in early space and scientific research, contributing to its tech presence today. With over 300 days of sunshine, Albuquerque balances outdoor adventure with deep cultural traditions.
