J Ross Parrelli and Auburn Hip Hop Congress are proud to present the 3rd Round Emcee Olympics.

The Emcee Olympics is an annual Emcee Competition strictly based on skill level and stage presence. Hosted by J Ross Parrelli, J Ras and Soul Medic. Special guest celebrity judges in the past have included Butterscotch, Nor Cal Chika, Skurge and Jae Synth Judges for this round will be announced at a later date.

There will be 4 rounds of different categories such as: Best Written Verse (Over a Beat), Freestyle, Grab Bag, A cappella, and more. The order of the rounds will NOT be announced prior to the competition.

For each round, two contestants will enter the stage per demonstration. Each contestant will have an allotted amount of time to demonstrate their abilities in that specific category. In the event of a tie, BONUS ROUNDS may occur.

Training is strongly encouraged for all competitors and amateurs need not apply. The Emcee Olympics is a competition among the best and most experienced in the region.

Judges will announce their decisions based on points. Judging Criteria will be announced at the start of the show. The following are taken into consideration in judging: delivery, stage presence, crowd engagement, crowd response, lyricism, creativity & cleverness.

Contestants will pay an entrance fee that will go directly into the winning pot. That fee for competitors is $15. The Winning Cash Prize will be up to $500.

The event is 21+ (Except for competing emcees who pre-register). Door entrance fee will be $10.00 or presale for $7.00 purchased at -or- call (530) 368-3526 to pick uop your tickets in Auburn.

Although the Emcee Olympics is focused on the art of “Emceeing,” this year we plan to pay homage to Turntablists, Bboy/Bgirls and Graffiti artists by inviting some of our talented friends to exhibit their skills. Details on exhibitions will be announced at a later date.
